The most important thing I’ve learned in my maze-journey in the sport of triathlon (can be applied to life as well) is that there is no one true “right way” to make progress and achieve success.  The best athletes have become successful by knowing themselves and adopting what works best for them.  Having an open mind for experimenting beyond the tried and true makes it fun and helps us learn what works best at the individual level.  Some thrive in a group others while need solo time.  Some cave under the pressure of data and others excel with it.  Some recover quick and others need more time.  Every “victor of personal goals” will have a different path to success.  There is no one true way.  The non-competition season is time to explore and reflect.  Proven protocols and “secret methods of the elite” are myths.  Find what works for you and crush YOUR goals on your unique path.
